Hey everybody! I got a 1983 MonteCarlo with a 305/350. One day under the hood i found all these wires bunched up. I have no idea what they go to.

That's part of your CCC harness. I assume you have no electric plug into the front of your carb or distributor ?

I does not, for some reason my father put the wrong carb on it.

If its running fine tuck them back down in the wheelwell again. Someone likely pulled the CCC Specific carb and distributor ( like I did ) and replaced them with non-ccc items. In my car I took it 1 step further. If you pull the carpet back on the PS footwell. You will see the harness come thru the grommet and likely plug into the computer. You can then remove the whole harness and computer intact to be placed in a box for safekeeping. People will someday pay good $$ for a complete harness and computer. Its a little easier to get to if you remove the inner wheelwell. You can also clean out the catch / drain at the bottom of the AC Box at the same time :)

Forgive my forwardness but can you could also put a little loop of hose off your fuel pump and move the fuel filter down there. Where you have it mounted now is a fire waiting to happen. If it splits hanging down by the fuel pump you will have gasoline spraying on the ground. Where its mounted now the filter could melt or split on potentially hot exhaust and spark plug wires. I tend to run 2x filters on my car. A straight fitting off the fuel pump. 8-10" of hose straight out then down and back up again to make a loop. Inline plastic fuel filter like yours to 4" of rubber hose. Couple that to the steel fuel line behind the alternator. From there I use one of the head bolts with a 3/8 rubber vibration hold down from princess / harbor freight to hold the steel fuel line to the block securely. From there its 1 bend across the intake and another bend to the carb.

Well, It wasn't running fine the last time i drove it. It was sometimes stalling when shifting from park, and there were times it would want to stall slowing down to a stop sign, and it would stall if i stopped. This is my first car, and my father and I were working on it. If i remember correctly, There is a inline fuel filter before the pump and then one after the pump as you can see.
