This is absolutely no fun today. I've taken the laxatives and in 15 minutes I'll drink my last of the first half-gallon of Prestone. Good thing is I get a 9 am scope time tomorrow. So I can keep this train rolling by going to Taco Bell afterward!!!! :)

So far, all my scopes have shown nothing. Which is great.

To all you young kids out there- your day will come. Oh yes, it's coming...

Had my first a year ago. Knocked me out and I remember nothing except waking up. Damned easy if ya ask me. i am on the 5 year plan due to my mother having precancerous polyps. My results were also no issues.

The procedure itself is nothing because you do get knocked out.

It's the prep that sucks. I hate it when it feels like my a*s is taking a p*ss.

Just had my second one last May. I was prescribed Sure Prep this time. Just 2 small bottles that you mix with water. Anybody getting scheduled for a colonoscopy, I STRONGLY suggest asking your doctor about it. SOOOOO much better than laxatives and 2 gallons of that horrible other crap. Good luck on your results

had my first in december. the prep other then not eating wasn't bad. i had two premixed bottles. instructions said drink right from the bottle.. drank one bottle at 6:30pm the night before and was surprised i wansn't on the toilet a lot more. only like three times but boy did i clean out those three times. the second bottle needed to be taken 6 hours before the procedure so i had to get up at 3:30am.. cleaned out 1 or 2 more times and i was good. got there. they injected me and in a matter fo seconds i was out. woke up with drool all over the pillow and in a different room.. what a good sleep. the entire thing was no where near as bad as i had expected. test was all clean and i don't have to do it again for 10 years...

Does it count if I get my wife to do it? Asking for a friend... and no kink shaming!

People take their health for granted - men especially. Openly talking about men's health is such a critical piece. I do the Movember campaign at work for just this reason. My Mom's husband had diverticulitis and that was a very difficult period for our family.

Stay strong.

If you a*s doctor knows what he's doing, it doesn't. If he's using his fist, that's another story.

I would say that if you don't catch the cancer or other potential bowel issues right at the start, that could do worse damage. I'm willing to risk it once every 8-10 years.

I didn't get the choice of which prep I got. Although, as not tasty as the gallon of stuff is, they're getting it better. Not near as bitter or nasty as before. Still not fun watching the wife eat lunch and there I was with my sugar free Jello cup. Told the wife we're going to Taco Bell for lunch tomorrow after the procedure. She rolled her eyes like she usually does at me when I say something she feels is stupid.

I want to try the Reaper Ranch tacos...mmmmmmmmmmmm
