I've heard the Rallye Pak gauges are pretty temperamental so I decided not to put them in my '87 Supreme. But I still wanted to update the look of my granny pak gauges. So I searched the junk yard till I found a '78 Cutlass with the silver granny gauges. Now I wasn't able to put in the actual silver plate with the black speedo numbers in my car because the gauges on the mid-80s models are backlit and the earlier ones used bulbs from above to light them. But here's the fun part I took the silver bezel surround frame that fits over the actual printed speedo plate and put that in my car in place of the black bezel. Now I have the beautiful brushed silver bezel fronting the black speed plate in my car and it looks great. Looks stock and adds good contrast to the all black granny packs of the mid-80s cars. Unfortunately I don't have a way to photograph it for you but wanted to at least describe it in case any of you want to update the look of your granny paks to look great and stock at the same time!
