Ok guys I need some help with some things and I don’t know much about Oldsmobile parts. I had a member contact me about parts and I don’t have a clue about value. 1987 Vin 9 307. He’s looking for cam, valve springs, carb, balancer and maybe heads. How should I price these? Always been a Chevy guy so any help would be appreciated.

The carb and heads have the most value but being an 87 it's not much. I would say the carb if in good working shape around $50, heads $75 to $100 for the pair shipping is going to be very expensive on these. Rest is pretty much scrap price.

Even the vin 9 parts aren't all that desireable, I've been trying to sell a complete, running vin 9 for $200 for a while now with no interest.

As said, a carb off of a running engine is worth $50. If you have the dual snorkel air cleaner (assuming the 307 is from a 442), it is worth around a $100. The 442 also had pulleys with an extra rib..... so if you remove AC you have 2 belts wrapping the water pump, PS pump, and crank rather than a single belt...... this helps eliminate belt squeal caused by the PS pump at startup. Pulleys may be worth $50 or so.

The heads are no different other than valve springs. The dual snorkel, like all dual snorkel air cleaners, worth money and the carb is a unique, richer calibration. The cam is a nice upgrade, especially on the roller cam motor. The pulleys and balancer are similar to earlier motors. Tough to say on value, depending on condition.

Balancer is unique. Don’t give it away. I have seen them sell for $100
Interesting, I thought they were the same as the earlier 350 balancer. Good to know.
