Soo I thought it would be a great idea to by a car cover for the cutty while iam out on the road working for 2 weeks, (sits outside).

Figured what the hell, I'll go to princess auto and grab one for $60 and it'll work better than keeping it out in the open. Well after my 2 week run, got back to the shop happy to hop in the cutty and get driving her. Started removing the car cover and as I got to the back, noticed that the vinyl top and stripping had red markings all over it. No big deal I thought, and proceeded to try wash it off. Needless to say, she dont wash off.. at all. Tried even some scotch bright in a desperate hope to get it gone.. no dice there either. So now iam going to spend a couple days prepping and painting this thing (fingers crossed it works). Completely baffled and mad about this though. Literally would have done it less harm keeping her un covered! Anyway that's my g body rant for the week. Any suggestions on car covers that dont mess up the finish? Cheers!!

Maybe put a nice white cotton sheet on first to cover the roof before putting the cover on.

Just be mindfull that the sheet will stay wet if it rains

Do they still make Wesleys Bleach White? If so I would try that.

Well I guess I assumed if he bought an outdoor car cover it would be weatherproof but maybe not.

Have you tried a magic eraser? Sometimes I’m amazed at the stuff they clean up.

I have tried that. Also tried a little bleach/water mixture. I really hate the option of painting this thing, but it's easier than removing the top.

Finished up everything before supper. Not 100% perfect, but she looks real good.

What specifically did you use to paint the top?

Plasti-kote vinyl. I was trying to find "sem vinyl paint" though. I hear that stuff is the best for spray bombing the cover.
