Hello fellow wagoneers!
I bought this big blue turkey last year and am finally starting to do something with it. The rear inner wheel tubs are a tad crusty, mainly the passenger side (drivers is easy fix).
What i could find on the interweb is the car is essentially the same as a 2dr malibu from about the middle of the car going forward (which is great cus i got a big gaping hole where my feet are supposed to be). What i need is answers/pictures/parts links/advice to any possible repair panels i can use to fix the rear inners. Are the 2dr gbody inners close enough to make work?

Cut it out and build new. Or just mini-tub it now. Because there is no easy way out...

The floor pans are universal between the G-body cars. The areas that you show don't look like a bad fix at all. I don't know how your welding and fabricating skills are, but it pretty much entails cutting out the rusty metal and welding in a few patches. Hows the rest of the car rust-wise? How are the rear frame rails for example?

Oh i'm no stranger to fab work haha I'm a welder by trade.
As for the rest of the car, the rust isn't bad. Passenger side floor is good, frame rails are good (only reason i bought the car), the doors aren't great but not bad. Only because I'm lazy and rather particular I want to weld in proper wheel inners. Heres a pic of my yaba-daba-doo drivers floor

Hmm haven't looked into doing a mini tub, mostly because i want to put the interior back together. Do you know of any good build threads that have done something similar?

You can look at my build thread, I’m currently going through the process of fixing the same issue, all of what you would need to replace is not made new/ aftermarket for these cars in the back. Just a heads up

Yes unfortunately I have figured that out...i thought the regular malibu inner tubs would be close enough, but no.
I recently purchased a new drivers side floor section, haven't got around to putting in
