I remember those times. Some retro stuff is making a resurgence. The gasser look is a good example. I don't think flames ever lost their luster, so to speak.
There's a lot of nostalgia freaks out there that still dig a cool flame or scallop job....and of course, pinstriping, which never lost popularity.
About ten years ago me and my son's built the wagon. Was my daily driver for 5. I sold it to my one boy. He drove it a couple years till it blew up. He was slowly rebuilding it. But he recently passed away. So me and his brothers are completely redoing inside and out.
