Wanting to remove my soft top

I have an 84 cutlass supreme, and im wanting to remove the fake soft top on my car, i was wondering if anyone has done this, how hard was it and what it took. Thanks!

a bunch of us have done that and I think we can all agree it's not hard but it's a b!tch to get the adhesive and foam off. I used acetone and a case of beer to remove the adhesive. Just make sure you don't drink the wrong liquid and good luck

lol thanks for the tip, so theres no rivets or anything stupid? and does the soft top take the place of the outside seals for the windows? and should i expect a ton of rust, the rest of the car has minimal rust on it.

Here's a link to my vinyl top removal thread. It was on my 87 GP. I would imagine a Cutty would be pretty much the same. Hope it helps.
