Was ASC astro roof an option for 83?

I assumed astro was not option in 83? Ive seen 85 and up cutlass/442 and 78-80 cutlass with asto roof. Ive never seen an early 80's with astro just t tops.

Does anybody have one? And was this factory option if so not aftermarket?

I have an 84ss that has the astro roof in don't quote me on this but from what I've read it they never came from the factory with it it's a dealer option the dear would have them installed .

Yeah thats a confusing one. I THOUGHT you could get a buick or olds with an astro from the factory. A monte however you could only get one through the dealership I think. I could be wrong. Does yours have ASC stickers on the door? I think both the factory and dealer ones are ASC.

Blue 84 with a moon roof is badass by the way. Would love to have that.

My 83' Monte has an ASC power sunroof but it was sent out from the dealer to be installed since it was not an option for the Monte's.

I have one on my 86 cutlass, but was installed after new... also has asc on the power switch...
