Wassup forum. Just bought a 1981 El Camino last week so i had to sign up. It's a hoopty but I'm still excited about it. I haven't driven one since 2007. I also have a 4-door 81' Malibu but my main focus is on the elky. Well just wanted to say hi and God bless. Will be in the forum regularly.

Found quite a ton of rust on it. The edge of the roof (above the window) has rust from the inside on the passenger side and rust on the outside on the driver. Some on the floor panels on both sides.

Welcome aboard ! I also have a 1981 El Camino .Its an loaded SS model .With a 290 HP 350 and a combination of Rancho springs Hotchkiss sway bars and trailing arms. I don't have a Malibu .But I I have a 1979 Z-28 RS pro-touring car.
