Wastegate angle/setup

I ordered a gbody hotside kit from rmperformance for a gbody/4l80e.

I’m not sure why the wastegate angle came like this, I was wanting something more the direction of the exhaust flow.

Do you guys think I’ll have issues with this setup or develop and wastegate creep? Thanks

No I was going to do a wastegate dump to the ground. I have no idea why they put the wastegate flange here.

Why would the wastegate pipe be on the motor/accessory side of the header?

Looks not very well thought out or for a narrow car.

Maybe they sent you a kit for a pickup truck. The flange is too high, the turbo will be hitting the hood.

I’ll have the motor dropped in about 2 weeks from now. I have a 3” hood scoop so I may be ok. But the design they did doesn’t make sense.

I think I’m going to pay someone to cut, patch, and re weld the wastegate in at a different angle and with a shorter wg pipe.

That’s what I was thinking. It will hit my manual belt tension I am pretty sure.
