I'm getting ready to replace the water pump in my brother's GN what do you guys use for thread sealant on the bolts. I haven't changed a water pump in years but remember using something on them. Thanks

I use this stuff, it is a brown goo that never hardens and seals well.

I use ARP thread sealer in anything that isn't in a blind hole

Any sealant is fine but remember you may have to remove bolts again some day. I would use a silicone sealer

And be sure to use some antiseize on the bolts that go into the aluminum cover. The next guy, maybe you, will thank you. As for the water jacket ones I use some black stuff. ill have to look for a link
