Water pump plug size ?

What's the correct plug size for a gm long water pump ?

I think that the plug is 1/2" pipe thread.

Is that a new water pump? If so did you get it for the 84 Monte Carlo which is clock wise rotation? Or did you get it for a later car which is counter clockwise rotation for the serpentine belt system?

Good advice... It is new, I bought it for a '84 Monte Carlo...

Not exactly the same.

Threaded bosses for V belt brackets.

No bosses on the serpentine one.
