Came across this weld in k-member from a company called PTSfab, wondering what people think about it. Seems like a really slick solution rather than going full tubes in front. It appears to be pretty new, but thought I'd see if anybody has any experience with it so far?

Looks like those require you to chop and plate off the front frame rails. The pts k-member seems like a much simpler job, since the front frame rails and all the mounting points are retained.

Cool design.

The double AA one is certainly more hard core, but this pts one does a good job at getting space without a ton of welding.

64nailhead (Jim) was looking for one of these...

I was really interested until I read on the website it requires a motor/mid plate for engine mounting. Anyone know how much fab work that requires? I'm not sure what you would tie it to in that area. Would you need some type of frame bracing to attach to, or would you need to run a plate frame rail to frame rail? I did a few internet searches to see what was out there, but didn't hit on anything that wasn't custom.

Thanks!

Chad

That is really a drag car frame kit that is expected to have a full cage and whatever it takes to mount the engine.
