What carb is this?

Hello everyone. I picked this carburetor up at the local junkyard the other day and not sure what the application would be. I know it is a 2 barrel Holley 2300 series, model 4412 which is a 500 cfm. I have many 2300 carbs and have never seen one like this. Anyone know what it is for?

It looks like some giant homemade annular boosters.

With a milled choke horn and what appears to be die grinder clearancing for the venturi tubes/boosters I am not sure what someone was attempting to do but I think it is highly unlikely this would still function as a carburetor is intended.
