I’m trying to decide on a color to paint my Malibu. I have a navy interior, and it’s currently white. I’m having trouble envisioning the car in any other color. I was thinking BMW San Marino blue, but I don’t think it will go with the navy interior. I’d love to hear some opinions. I’m pretty far away from painting, but I really need to figure out a color.

I'm partial to the dark and light blue colors you'd find on the 1987 cutlass supreme.

Another color that might be interesting is black opal metallic off 98-02 clk Mercedes.

Blue on blue has always been a favorite of mine.

I thought about silver too, but I’m not too crazy about that either.
There is nothing wrong with white and with blue interior you are basically limited to some variation of black, white or gray and of coarse a blue.

I’m a painter, and I’m going to spend hours getting the car straight. The last thing I want to do is put a color on that will hide all that, like white. It’s flat white dp90 right now and I like it, but it’s plain. I’m looking for something that pops, yet goes with the blue interior.

Another thought would be Martinique blue such as on a late 2nd gen firebird/trans am... I think the navy color is too dark/takes something away from a number of shades of blue, and, to be honest there are too many silver/grey/black cars these days that makes it kind of blah IMO.

If you want to show off your body work then some form of dark gray or black

If you like white, but find the flat plain color too boring, what about something that uses a pearlescent topcoat like the 1999 riviera white diamond pearl tricoat, except, altering the pearl on some test cards to add more of a faint blue tinge in the pearl that the interior would draw out?
