No, thats an accident waiting to happen. Automotive throttle return springs are made of two springs, if one breaks, the other one keeps you safe. Kinda like wearing two condoms when you get lucky at the lumber yard.
This is what you need.
The inside silver one is the one I had. Two silvers was so stiff it broke my old throttle cable. I think two of the thinner black ones or maybe a black and silver would work best.

Got bored and rigged up a little emblem for my grill. Took an old emblem from a cavalier and hacked it up as a base for the SS emblem I had lying around. Just painted and threw it together. Had some metal strips laying around that I used to tie it together in the back and hold it to the bumper/grill.

Also installed the windshield trim for the first time since I’ve owned the car. I originally got new clips for them but found out quickly that the plastic clips the G Body’s used were not very effective. Got metal clips from a 70s A Body and they worked perfectly.

Source for the clips?

He's not used to getting lucky at the lumber yard.......
Down the street from my highschool there's a strip club called the Lumber Yard.
Imagine Hank Hill at a strip club.

That's me.

Removed the driver’s door this afternoon. I sandblasted the lower inside door seam that was crusty, all pretty solid. But, I found the reason the door flexes, a stress crack forward of the mirror on the inside. Going to make a small patch and weld it in and hope it takes most if not all of the flexing out.

I've been chasing in this car a cold start-up little flutter in the idle, and when it got warm idle it did it very little.

Reset base running air flow down a little bit and basically once it got really warmed up just leaned it out a hair in the idle cells and that seems to do the trick. Stupid small stuff but I'm OCD and this is EFI, so even with this hog Cam in it, it should drive like a kitten.

90° out with a 102° real feel so I have the warm air end of the tune dialed in haha. Have to see what it does when it's cooler out. 😎

Finally took a beautiful Saturday morning to play some Metal in the garage at unreasonably loud volume levels. Then used the Electric glue gun to hang the exhaust a little better on the Regal. I managed to avoid staring into the pretty blue light long enough to slam this low effort mess-terpeice together.

Then proceeded to take the car out on a lunch date. Even if it looks like this you still gotta sit somewhere you can see your car for a wrap and a brew.
We then took it out to the driving range well just because. Basically any reason to drive this thing around today and I was gone
