Can vouch for the oil pan, the damn oil filter threaded piece stripped in the aluminum with barely any snot on it, had to heli-coil it. I already had it in the car so yea that was a process...🙄
All the Holley parts and components currently in my stash are pre-covid and a few are pre-Columbian, they are that old. i still shell out for hard copies of the few remaining magazines that discurse many of the topics that appear on this forum and can say that I have not seen anything about the sniper in recent articles. Wonder if this is because they have become aware of just exactly what the issues with the Sniper have come to be or if Holley has stopped being an advertiser, which begs the question of solvency at the corporate higher level. Just speculating here, y'know.

I was in the loft in my garage looking for something carburetor related and came upon a box with misc. plastic pieces and there was a passenger side base cover for a power seat and a pair of foot covers, so I installed those on the Regal to give it a finished look.

Took the truck water pump off the Cutlass to put in the LS1 pump then I realized the truck tensioner is different. For some reason I thought they were the same. I'm going to pick one up in the morning also forgot to get a fitting for the spacer to the vent line. I also remembered that I have a factory style 4 corner steam vent line. I figured since the coolant is drained now would be a good time to put it on.... Since the intake is going to be off when I might as well drill the hole in the firewall so I can hide the Holley harness a little better.
Just like that the snow ball effect has begun...

Installed my UMI rear lower arms. Nice not to have the body on the frame but it also sucks cause there's no weight to help with being able to use the jack to help reposition the rear when it moves on you. Did have to replace the sway bar bolts just because they didn't look "pretty" enough with the new arms.

Finally had free time and the G Wagon in the same place. Removed the perimeter portion of the roof rack and plugged the holes with some plastic snap in plugs. Then went to town on modifying the rear wing from an air brake to a wing. I used stainless 6mm x 100 threaded rod, flanged nuts underneath and acorn nuts on top.

I installed the headliner in the El Camino, which is about a 10 minute job, including the visor screws. The Kit was supposed to have the clips, 3 types , which it did, but unfortunately only half the number needed. Before all the painting inside and out, I had help from a non-mechanic who just broke every single clip. $30 later I bought the clips, $18 for clips and $12 to ship. There are still a few little things left to do inside, like speedo and shifter cables installed, and after, the console tops and door, but I feel like it is done now. I got stiff-armed by the transmission cable , It is a retrofit, but the cable seems to not be the correct one. Anyway, is there a method to install the cable, like one end first then the other or ????. Me thinks it might be a 2 person job. I have the factory tranmission bracket for cable but this is an S-10 shifter. Anyone want to clue me in? The clips for the cable seem slightly too large and so far do not secure it. So far I was working on it from inside since the car is on the ground and it is not simple for me to lift it high. I will have to ask what year S-10 the console fit.

Looks great!! When the windows rolled down they were helpful to keep the fumes out and so now I hope they keep your rear end squatted down at 150 mph!

Spent yesterday consulting my 8.8 guru 64nailhead and playing with lasers and tape measures to no end.......yet. Everything is lined up, just need to push everything out of the way to clear it for welding and this one pain in the butt will be out of the way.
