Pulled the '78 Malibu out of storage after 4 years. New Fan belts, oil, fresh gas and a serious wash job. Runs great.

I figured out my steering problem, I never had a ps box fail and not make any noise. It'll work of when cold but on the highway when the pump is hot I get very little assist and there is play in the steering like when you don't have the car running..good news in my Delphi 600 box wasn't the problem....and I got another quadrajet today, paid $200 for this one....
An Olds carb with a Chevy fuel inlet fitting!!!!!!!!!! Blasphemy!!!!!
My GP has a 67 Chevelle rear end, F body stick transmission, Citation rear coil springs, F body spindles and brakes etc etc etc so this carb fits right in with the program...
I put the carb I just bought in the GP, didn't have to touch it the idle, it's a 650, I had to tweak the idle mixture to lean out to 14.7. I can leave it at idle and it'll pull the car along with no chugging so no need to play with the clutch too much in traffic....best $200 I spent this week....
Working on cleaning up my headlight...I have one MIA at my brother n laws. So far, so good....this one is cleaning up nicely.
I will get to the money side, just wanted to get all the crud removed first!
