Just for fun I weighed the new converter and the old one. Old has some fluid left in it and the new one is dry but you'll get the idea.

Went with two of my buddies to go get an '83 el camino, not for me. It's rusty and crusty, but it runs and it's my friend's first (running) car. Will post a pic later today.
And my neighbor bought a Turbo '80 Monte Carlo, so I'll be tinkerin on that I guess.
This is my friends '83 Elco. Needs a new radiator, carb rebuild, battery, a BFG, probably a transmission. Drove it home, 100% stock under the hood. Not bad for $680. Also that's the spare from my Regal on the front.

I haven't had much of a chance to work on anything lately, and haven't been keeping up with what I have accomplished, so I figured I'd post about my small victory tonight. I finally got the backing plates for my blazer disc brake swap so I installed new oil seals in the axle and started assembling the brackets. Also put the rotor and caliper on one side as the last moc up, next time will be just before it goes in the car
Tested my new choke coil, it works. Gotta wire it up and all will be well.
Loaded up the trunk of my Mazda with boxes of Cutlass parts
