What did you do to your G-Body today? [2011-2018]

I washed it, took the T-tops off, went to my son's place to help him with something and then went for a nice long drive with some great tunes playing. This GP is a blast to drive, it ain't the quickest or the prettiest but running up and down through the gears on a windy country road it's actually the car of my dreams...

I usually use a touch of antiseize on the plug threads up near where they start (minimizing chance of any getting int he chamber or on the electrode) and do 1/4 turn past finger tight. If you get them in by hand you can feel plenty well where they stop. 1/4 turn past that, check after a warm up and cool down cycle. As for the oil filter thing, could not have an anti drainback valve, letting oil drain back to the pan... just a guess. Put in the reccomended amount (5 quarts with filter change with stock type pans), and keep an eye on it. I check the oil when it's overnight cold so all the oil has drained down so I know how much is in the pan.

It took me an hour to remove the spark plugs...about 10 minutes to put them back. I screwed them in hand tight, then as soon as it got tight, I gave it about 1/4 turn.

I went to start the car and it fired up on the first try...no gas needed. Granted, it took cranking it for about 6 seconds, but it still started. I let it ran for about 2 minutes and called it a day. I'll see what it does tomorrow before I attempt to install this exhaust. Thanks.

Took the t-tops off and took a cruise to Toronto to see my son and his newly expecting wife....grabbed a meal of ribs and watched form football with them and then cruised back....there was lots of traffic but there was a few areas that I could open the GP for a bit....

Almost done with the frame boxing/notching! I made caps for the front and rear and set a 1/8" x 4" plate against the step in the frame.

Started fooling around in the garage with the El Co and some spray paint. It was looking a little bit sad and I wanted to dress it up a little . I feel it looks over 100% better even with a rattle can garage amateur job. Mind you, the spray paint was DupliColor touch up that I got at the surplus store for $.99 per can. I HATE primer as a topcoat! I also have another case of medium gray metallic to do the lower portion. Also, the P/O had painted the car in gray primer, and BRUSH painted the shitty black stripes on the hood. IDK what he used, I think it was roofing tar! what a PITA to sand off. ( all hand sanded, no air power in my garage)
