I put in AC Delco R44LTS6 spark plugs. They are correct for a '96 Silverado and have 17.25mm of thread reach.

I had AC Delco CR43TS plugs in it which were correct for TBI heads, but the thread reach on them is 10.95mm.

Not a world ending difference, but it does add an extra 2 cc of combustion chamber volume.

Thanks for the info.
I’ll be checking mine now and replacing them as well if they aren’t the right ones.

Found I had a vacuum leak at the carb mounting gasket which is a thick AC Delco one. Retorqued it while hot seemed to fix it.

Bypassed the heater core and started ripping out what was left of the original HVAC system. The case pretty much disintegrated in my hands. Will begin installing the Vintage Air heater and defroster tomorrow.

Bought some turbo mufflers that I did not end up using and got half of my exhaust hooked up to the original exhaust system. I need to get a hole saw and an extension pipe to connect the other side. I won't say it will be show quality when it is done, but at least I can drive it.

My buddy is ripping right through it, got the digital air ride going together and while the rear axle is out might just do the C6 Z06 brakes as well since the vinyls should be in today

Also installed the lighter bumper brackets. Weight savings around 40lbs.
