Well, (pun) that green shirt tells a different story. Dump that dump before the pinholes come back!

Its paid off. Income property. The house is 60 years old and they used tin foil grade copper pipe when the built it.

Better than that galvanized stuff in my last house. I got pinholes with the added benefit of rusting shut. I had to do a PEX repipe a couple years before I sold.

The original copper lasted 60 years, I'd say that's a reasonable lifespan. Here's the end result. Roughly 40 feet of new copper. No leaks, first time with the propress. It's tough working around the beam, the floor joists, all the ductwork and the wiring. That propress is heavy and bulky. Anyways no more pex, and no more sharkbites.

a friend of mine had a rental property that had all copper plumbing until the tenants moved out and took the copper with them.....my friend was happy cause the insurance paid to have the old house fitted with new plumbing and repaired all the walls and of course he got his licensed buddies to the do the job... :giggle:

I need my renters to do the same. They have a pex main section with shark bites until the house is in my name. I have a feeling the real fix is gonna snowball.
