Found some new mower tires on sale, but they've been sitting in my basement which don't work lol. Called a couple places yesterday, but they wanted too much moola. Luckily the neighbor had tire tools, so after fighting with them for a bit the Cub has new tires that don't leak and rides nice now! If a tractor tire starts leaking air, I put a tube in the tire. I've had tires last a long time that way.

Yeah I thought about doing a tube, but all 4 tires were dry rotted pretty bad. Got the tires new at a discount store for half price, couldn't pass up the deal.

Fixed the issue with the Caprice as it was stalling. The negative battery cable was the original and the threads in the bolt just didn't want to tighten anymore.

New cable was installed, and I chose a different location to use it on because the bracket was kinda rusty.

Threw on a new ring terminal for some grounds that didn't look too good.

Easy.

Also decided to redo the copper lug on the wire for the subwoofer, since I didn't do a good job putting it on last time, which in theory should have been easy, but since I didn't have much slack, I figured the best solution was to take it out completely.

Well,,,it was but I wasn't factoring in opening the door, and finding a hornet, wasp, bees nest whatever the **** they were on the "A" pillar smfh. It's only been parked for 3 months!

Luckily, none were hurt and giving alarms to go ****in crazy, or I would have been doing a real life version of My Girl :/

So if it's not obvious, def will need a break lol.

Darn it! Broke the shovel handle this morning while digging out some more of the wild blackberry rootballs. It was too early to fire up equipment, so I decided to dig some blackberries. I got a good solid 1/2 hr before breaking the shovel handle. Yesterday in the morning, I cut back the blackberries that had grown since I last cut and dug.
First project this morning was to assemble the pressure washer that I bought yesterday, but as stated, it was too early to run noisy equipment.

Did a "once over" on the Pinto's engine compartment, maybe I expected too much of the pressure washer, but to be fair, it was bad, really bad, in the engine bay. Over all, it did a good job. I will revisit it again with a soap solution and second wash. Before and after below.

I failed to get a pic of the underside of the hood before, but here it is after.

I also did a test wash on the Datsun fender. I had forgotten what the Datsun looked like under the moss/mildew layer. Wow, what a difference.

Negligible difference on the second "go round" with the Pinto, but a big difference on the Datsun.

Can you tell that that old rust bucket Datsun hasn't moved since sometime in 2003?

I guess I need to drag the transmission that I am going to install in the Pinto, out of the garage and wash it off too.

Better than it was, but I'm wondering, is the soap solution just not cutting it? Maybe I should buy some GUNK engine degreaser and wash everything again next weekend.

Came home to discover my BBQ cover had come off and the pellets in the hopper and tube were totally saturated with water, just about had to cut it open to get the feed auger loose... Oh ya, the control display had a blow fuse too, so no BBQ until I get another weird 250v glass fuse tomorrow from amazon. No BBQ makes me grumpy.

Continuing the strange behavior the wife has greenlighted my getting yet another new toy if I can find something I really want... confusion continues,, no????

Sooo..... Went shopping today, but didn't pull the trigger on anything.

Looked at a 13k mile late 2nd gen camaro, base model 350v8. (Used to own a 78z28) nice in all the right ways but it's hard to spend decent money on a base model.

Looked at a properly kept up sub 1000 mile late c3 vette, always liked the styling, and color combo was both rare and killer looking... but the price was just too high imo.

Looked at a pace car fiero (used to have an 88) but it needed too many 1 yr only parts to be right.

Also sent an email on an online long-distance 82gn, haven't owned one in a long time but have tons of spare parts still so I thought I'd see what was up with it, haven't heard anything back yet.

No nice blue 442s around that some online searching showed or that might be a winner, my blue car went away around 2007.
