Hello all,
I am writing to get this issue solved ( what flywheel do I need?).

Background: I have a 1985 El Camino with the original 305 with two piece rear seal (my best guess on the rear seal). Currently. I have Turbo 350C behind the 305. My intention is to replace the Turbo 350C automatic transmission with a 5 speed T5 manual transmission. The T5 manual transmission is from a 1986 Camaro. My understanding is as follows: i.) my current flex plate is 153 tooth; ii,) the 1986 Camaro used a 10.5 inch clutch (sometimes described as a 10.4 or 10 3/8 inch) and similarly sized pressure plate; and iii.) 1986 was the FIRST year for one piece rear seal (if my understanding on this issue is incorrect then please let me know).

Question: which flywheel do I order from Rock Auto (see pic)?

Many thanks in advance.

PS Rockauto references VIN G and distributor less ignition in making the flywheel choice. I do not gave the VIN for the Camaro donor car.

Basicly any 153 tooth/10.4" flywheel for a 2 piece rear seal & internal balanced will work. The ignition has nothing to do with it & all Chevy powered G's never used a distributorless ignition.

I don't think you want any of those they are for single piece rear main seal crank. I see the LUK, LFW 131 as what you want, 153 teeth, 10.5" clutch, two piece rear main seal.

Or the PERFECTION CLUTCH 506516, or the SACHS NFW1017.

It appears that GM Part number is 14085720. I cross referenced P/N: 14085720 on Rock Auto. And, the various possibilities came up. See pic.

I can't remember what the flywheel differences are between 1 or 2 pc seal, , but with years being so close and unless owning since new to verify originality, there is also a small chance you could have either. LUK was /is the main oem manufacturer of clutch/flywheel parts, would trust their info better than some overgrown internet mail order source that lists distributorless ignition on anyrhing before the latest 90's.
I will say that the t-5 from a 1986 is more likely to be a world class version, which is a little better shifting than an 85 f-body year. Had both in the past.

The flange size and bolt circle are smaller on the cranks with the one piece rear main seal. The flywheels on the one piece rear main seal are also externally balanced on the rear and neutral on the front.
