Im wondering a fair price on a stock rear sway bar. I got one price, and i feel its pretty high, so i want to know what i should pay.

Wouldn't pay more than 75 bucks, that seems to be the going rate here. These days I have never seen one for cheaper than 50.

I'm gonna look at the yard before I drop that much on one... If i find one there it should be cheaper.

I wouldn't think any more than $50.00 for a stock 7/8" rear swaybar with the hardware. They usually go for between $15.00 to $20.00 in the local bone yard...if you can find one.

Too bad your out East, I have one I would trade for a case of Beer! To me they would be worth $30-$40 bucks.

I bought my front and rear F41 bars for $40. You can pick up a 2dr blazer rear bar out of a salvage yard witch mounts to the car instead of the LCA's and is quite a bit better. Takes some fab but I wouldnt pay over $100 for a stocker. Especially when a brand new helwig bar is $200. Point of buying stock suspension parts is that they are cheap, Personally, anything over $50 is not worth it in the slightest. I have a stock rear bar I would sell for $75 multiple times if they were worth that.

Sounds like my kinda deal! Hell, if we were closer, I'd say we could get together and split a case or two!

Well, I have sold about 6 or 7 rear sway bars on this site. I have been selling them for. $50.00 plus shipping. I believe that is a fair price for several reasons. First, I go to 4 yards every Saturday and feel fortunate if I find one. Then I spend anywhere from 10 ( if I get lucky) to 30 minutes yanking them. I sandblast them , prime them, and paint them. I also include the spacer brackets but not the bolts because they are usually too rusted. However , I do include a factory bolt so it can be matched up..I pay $20.00 to $30.00 for them depending on the yard. Then I go to the furniture store and trash pick for boxes that I custom cut to fit the bars.i try and package it as tight as I can to keep shipping down. I never add to the ship fee..I try to offer advice and help anyone I can on this site..I love this hobby and Gbodys. I must say that I have had great dealings with every member I have dealt with this on this site. Thanks to all of you guys and best of luck with all of your projects...timo22

I got one from a local u-pull about a month ago and paid $13 for the rear sway bar and an additional $10 for them to lift the car onto a rack. I was pulling a transmission at the same time. It took me about 15 minutes to get if off the car it was on. All the shims and bushings inside were so badly rusted I couldn't even tell what they looked like. Good luck

Too bad you on are on the other side of the state, lol, I have a few laying around.
