I'm looking to buy a new set of tires for my '85 Monte. It has 15x8 wheels and I plan to lower the front and rear about 2". I was thinking a set of 225/60s would look good, but I'm not sure. What are you guys running?

It depends. Are they stock wheels or aftermarket?

I've got 235/60/15's up front and 275/60/15's out back also on 15x8" wheels.

They're aftermarket aluminum wheels

I run 215/65/15 on the front and 245/60/15 or 295/50/15 on the rear.

Well you can get a wider tire if you have more back spacing on the aftermarket wheels so check to see what the difference is and if its the same then 245/60 is about as big as you can go but it you get more back spacing with with the aftermarket then it will depend on how much

I think you mean less backspacing.
