north chicagoland area. wouldnt I have to do a bunch of mods if i use anything besides the th350 or the th200? I want a bolt up typed deal.

There is NO factory crossmember, the 700 is pretty large, you'll haveto cut the driveshaft, gearing isn't as good as the 200-4r .... plus I am assuming his Cutlass has a Buick V-6 or an Olds V-8 .... I don't like the idea of adapter plates to mate to Chevy only bolt patterns .... every 200-4r I've seen is uni-bel. If built right (keywords) the 200-4r can even take more torque.

O. D. Showtime said:Wish you were closer...I just parted out an 83 Malibu 4dr with a Buick V6 in it...the trans is a TH 350C with a pretty low mileage rebuild...and I can't use it.
