Hello all,

I'll be doing an interior swap and I'd like to use g body bucket seats, but from what I've seen there are so many different types I could use some direction.

I like the large, full bucket seats (and console) that were in the 78-81 or so Oldsmobile Holiday 88 coupes (or apparently some Buicks if the photo below is an original car). These seats were high backed and the headrest was integrated into the seat. The late 70's and 80's g bodies seem to have used the same seats, but from what I've seen there are numerous different versions. What I would like to find is a high-backed bucket seat like in the picture below but that also reclines. What year or body styles should I look for to find this?

Thanks,

Those buckets used in B-bodies are suppose to be the same Strato buckets used in our cars. Just need the seat tracks for our cars.

Although it's obvious as to which seats you have when looking at them, if you're searching for a car that has them, AR9 is the RPO code for reclining buckets. As far as Oldsmobile G-body, the GK47 Calais 82-84, and Salon 85-87 all are standard with AR9. This means 83-86 Hurst/Olds and 442 has them. 87 442 went to the Supreme, and for that reason, you did NOT get the reclining buckets in 1987 442.

I've never done any research as to what Buick/Chevy/Pontiac or any of the large-Marge B/C bodies had buckets and what type.
