Here is a pic of my first Gbody, I got it in 1997 when I was 15, and I still own it to this day. Me and my car are the same age so I always thought that was cool. When I got the car it had 68,000, and now its at 103,000. It originally came with a 3.8 v6, but that went bad, so now it has a 350 in it that I put in it around 1999. I licensed it for the first time in 5 yrs last week and took it for a nice cruise. I put historical plates on it since its 30 yrs old now and I don't ever have to license it again. My next plan is to get it painted, different wheels, and basically restore it.

My current '87 was my first G-body and first car.

This is how she looked a year later once I had put the new Goodyear's on, cat-back exhaust and tinted windows. Pretty much looked like this up until I tore it apart.

My first gbody was a 78 Grand Prix I bought in the late 80's and is the only GP I've owned out of a dozen or so gbodies.
It had a Maaco paintjob and I blacked out all the chrome except for the bumpers and put in a sunroof and it was still powered by the pathetic stock Pontiac 301.

Unfortunately I do not have any pics of my first G body, it was a 1980 Oldsmobile cutlass salon. I drove that thing into the ground. Didn't help it had one foot in the grave when my mom gave it too me.

this was my first Gbody, i bought this 1983 cutlass supreme in 1994 after i E.T.S. from the Army and loved it ! Was kinda forced to sell it to my older sister after having the engine rebuilt and my parents helped me get my chevy truck but i always missed my cutty and when i had a chance to get another i jumped on it... i sure wish this forum had been around in 94 when i had my girl ! I loved that car so much i washed it every other day and waxed it weekly...lol

A close relative of my old '79 Supreme, I even had the same Hurst T-handle before drilling and tapping threads in a '4'-ball. 8)

The first gbody my family owned was a 78 or 79 Monte Carlo we had back in the 80's. Not sure of the year because we had 1 of each both were built by my step dad and 1 was a ttop car. I think I was about 10 back then and my stepfather regularly bought and sold cars so they didn't last long. Fast forward to 1997 when I purchased my first a/gbody a 1979 Monte in burgandy with burgandy or maybe claret bucket seat interior. I paid $250 for this car and drove it for about a year and fell in love with these cars. Unfortunately my happiness was cut short because of being side swiped by a city bus. Not knowing then what I know now I stripped the car down and we took it to the demolition derby. I bought my second one right after the monte was wrecked in 1997 from the same guy who sold me my monte. It was a 1979 Cutlass Supreme ttops 355/th350 black with black 1/4 top and black bench seat interior. I paid $300 for it with "an engine problem". It had a miss due to an intake leak-SCORE. lol This was my all time favorite car and if it was 50 or above ttops stayed home. I had it for about 7 months when the brakes went out while driving it home one evening. The master was bad and I was going down hill so I ended up rear ending an impala so hard that it broke one of the front frame horns. That was a very sad day for me. That was 1997ish and since then I have owned more gbodys than most people my age have owned daily drivers but allways morned for those first two. So last year I decided to start on the cutlass and about 6 months later a stray monte showed up wimpering at my door. I couldn't say no. lol So now after purchasing 5 cars since July I have enough to build the 2 that got away. Minus the ttops.
