hello guys,

I just got PCS orders to Ft. Carson Colorado from Ft. Knox Kentucky and will not be able to bring my 1986 Regal limited. I was wondering what a fair price would be for a project car like mine.

Mods:
Rebuilt 307 bored .40, 264 lift 496 duration can, computer balanced crank, rebuilt heads with new valves and valve springs. Brand new Sean Murphy Induction 800CFM q jet carb non cc. New HEI dragon fire distributor. Headers with catless exhaust turn downs over rear axle behind tires.

The transmission is pretty much shot, wheels are pretty rough, paint is rough, but no wrecks bad rust or anything. Just needs a transmission paint job and wheels.

Anyhow I am not trying to get rich I just want to know what would be fair. Thanks for the help guys.

Also this is a link to the car running.

most of the time, it all comes down to the area that you're in... in my area, regals are fairly rare, and that (with bad trans and needing paint) would probably sell at around $1200. some areas they are more common, so prices would drop accordingly... check your local craigslist and use that as a gauge for what they're going for in the area, and adjust your pricing to the condition. wish I didn't already have 3 project cars, and the cash, or I'd be getting in touch with you....

good luck, and thank you for your service! Ft. Carson was actually on file as my dream location stateside.

You should try to store it somewhere - looks like a solid project and you will never get what you have in it. Might consider keeping the engine which you have some money in. Good luck and thanks for your service.

Dang! I wish I had the $$$ sitting around. I would be getting a friend to pick me up with his trailer and I would be heading south from Louisville to grab it!

Or, put that regal in storage after putting in a good trans...when I come to Ft. Knox to shred every other week I will get it out and drive it around to keep everything going. Then I will park it back until you can transport it ;)

Sad to say but I agree with the $1200-1300 price possibly more with the right buyer, to me not being drive able needing a trans is the bigger issue.
I think most people plan on the repaint with any project.

Thanks for all the replies guys. Yah I would love to store it but I don't own a trailer and with the move, baby about to be born middle august a 3 year old and getting a house ready to rent, my money and time for a transmission swap doesn't exist.

no, got out in 1989, and was almost called back in during the desert storm....

def list that up in the classified section, would love to see that go to someone who'd care for it.
