Ugh . . that's the problem with selling older cars, anything specialized, etc...
It's worth what you're asking, to the RIGHT buyer.
Most people are not the right buyer.
For example, I have a 1987 Crown Victoria 2-door. It's worth decent money to the RIGHT buyer, assuming the RIGHT buyer's not still suffering in the shaky economy. I turned down offers a while back that I now could only wish to get.
I'm using it as a "classic daily driver" now . . though it's always sort of informally been for sale (or possible trade). But it's just one of those things that you need someone who really wants it, who realizes its worth, and who isn't, say, currently laid off, etc.
