It seems everyone that has a project has a stash of car parts sitting around that is unrelated to the car you are working on now but you keep around anyways. Weather they are spares from a previous project or part out, cheap Craigslist finds, or rare parts you just had to buy.

I'm talking about transmissions, seats, axles, engine parts, ect.

What parts do you have that your keeping around for no specific reason or have intensions to use but are down the list?

Thought it would be a fun topic.

Some how I've accumulated six Saginaw 4 speeds. I thought I might need a spare but never had a problem with the one in the car.

MSD Digital 6 and coil, been around since 2006 for no reason......really have spent time not holding onto anything I haven't used for 4 years or longer and buy projects that move me to a different set of parts collection.

Spare 350 four bolt block already bored and decked, complete rebuild kit with pistons already on rods. Everything to make a complete short block. Several sets of used heads, nothing special, several g body bellhousings, extra set of '78 taillights that I need to swap into my car, rear sail panels in decent shape, set of 14" tires and wheels I used to roll the frame around when I did my body off. Set of aluminum BBC heads, spare gauge cluster, probably more I forgot about. LOL

A near complete clutch linkage for the '68-'72 Chevy A-bodys with the '70-'72 Monte frame bracket & a complete Hurst shifter for a Saginaw. Was ment for the '70 I got to replace my '72 but the car had to go for useable transportation. An '86 LS bumper bar, a '81 Buick sport wheel, '80's MCSS steering wheel, pair of rusty/crusty doors for my '81 for the guts, 2 really rotten frames for no reason at all.

Have an ‘84+ cluster for my eventual DD VHX gauges, a 3-spoke sport wheel, a tri-shield emblem, and fender moldings, among a few other random pieces.
