I scored a functional '70-'72' Trans Am hood scoop at a swap meet long ago. Or so I thought. Research revealed it to actually be for a '74 GTO. They had the functional hood scoop too one last time. I guess it was to say farewell to the GTO. It had a WOT vacuum triggered electrical solenoid that yanked the scoop open. It did not fit my '77 TA so since I had spent a LOT on it I decided to take a '77 TA 400 scoop base and wed the functional scoop to it. That worked out great. I even covered the flap with engine turned TA dash looking decal. Looks sharp. I'm sure It would be worth even more today as a GTO scoop but what is done is done. Now the TA is gone and I have the scoop sitting down the basement as a conversation piece. I wonder what I can use it on? View attachment 108938
Don't you need to cut a hole in the wagon's hood so it has better place to sit. ;)

The wagon!

Why would I do that? Talk about lipstick on a pig. Yikes! I have a '68 Firebird project with the 400 double scoop hood. I have a plain hood too. If it was the same width as the "ironing board" part of hood that may look good.

Outside lens of the left light looks like it might have a crack, can't tell if it's cracked or a scratch. One of the mounting studs is broken at the tip.
Not show quality but excellent for a driver.

I see
Yea I can’t tell either but it does look cracked, I’m sure they can be put on since I don’t drive the car much. Aside of Car swapmeets monthly.
Are you willing to sell em? If so how much?
