First time poster here looking for some info on wheel fitment. I ended up ordering the Jegs SSR Wheels in a 15 x 8 with a 4 1/2 inch backspacing. So I just got tires put on and I’m running to 245/40r15 BFG G Force rival And I went for a test drive after checking wheel fitment as far as hitting tie rods and A arms, everything was pretty tight had about an 1/8 of an inch gap all around. Came back from the test drive (maybe 3 blocks) and drivers wheel is rubbing a little on the a arm. I ended up finding some 3/8 thick wheel spacers at my neighbors place and slapped em on but of course wheel studs are too short. Also, me just guessing the size of the lug nuts when I ordered the wheels I ordered 1/2-20 lugs I was told they make a kit to go to a bigger stud. Just wondering anyone option on going with a wheel space, should I go bigger with the spacer to fill the fender out more, and mostly will UMI A arms resolve my problem with them hitting?

Is that tire size typed correctly (245-40/15's)? That's only 23" which is pretty short.

Yeah pretty short tire… wish I would’ve gotten something tall for sure. Couldn’t really find a performance tire for all 4 corners in a 15 that had a tall profile..

I've never seen that size before. You'll regret going that short. Should've stepped up in rim size, especially if you want to autocross. You'll need much bigger brakes, which need bigger wheels anyways. At least 16", if not 17 or 18".

For sure. After seeing them on the car they’re very small. Trusted the tire shop too much. Might just try and sell the wheels and tires and get an 18” wheel.

I am using Jegs SSR spikes 15x8 4.5bs (235/65/15). The front rim rubbed on the A-arm i fixed it with a 3/16 universal spacer from auto zone(still looking for a hub centric one). It worked great and I haven't rubbed at all anymore.
