Wheel Question

Hey guys I’m looking at upgrading my wheels on my 85 Regal, I have the gnx wheels right now and plan to keep them but want to purchase some staggered 19s, I was looking at these ESRs and my question is, do I need to change my brake setup because their fitment tool says they fit but I’m noticing I have the hub poking out, I’d like to run the center caps that come with the wheels. Those of you with after market wheels how did you do this? All information is appreciated and I realize this is a common question and apologize.

They make lower dust caps for your front brake rotors. Usually the wheel companies also make different centercaps for the wheels too.

Thank you for the reply! I’m torn between those modern wheels and classic torq thrusts. If I choose the modern look I don’t wanna have the rotors stick out. I’ll look into the dust caps, also debating just getting new rotors but wasn’t sure if that would fix my issue

Rotors don't have anything to do with the dust caps. I'm assuming you're running stock brakes right now correct?
And I'm not sure what you mean by having the rotors stick out. Do you mean the dust cap stick out thru the wheel?
As far as wheels go, that's a personal choice. Torque thrusts are ok, but like most wheels that become popular, everyone has done them. I drive a G body partly because I don't want to be like everyone else. JMO

Ahh ok Idk where my head was going, I was reading a couple different threads on wheels , I have strange discs on all 4 corners. I can totally respect the being different look lol I daily a 08 G8 that has the Holden front end conversion and alot of different goodies. Your information has been very helpful!!!

I have seen repro trans am/gnx rimes from year one and on g-body parts in 18 and 19 s.....in case you want the same look. Just my .02!
