The Arizona sun has turned my pillars to dust and cracks and Im looking for both A and B. A is the worst.

Any leads as to what will fit. I have the interior spray to do the color change. Just looking for a structurally sound set.

Thank you.

A-pillar covers are GM #'s 20540394 for RH and 20540395 for LH. I thought they were repopping these? I dunno. Anyway these are 78-88 pieces parts. You can get them off of any 2 door Cutlass from those years. Maybe some other cars too. I think most G-bodies use these.

B-pillars are HTF new. 20062222 for RH and 20062223 for LH. 78-80 A47. 81-up are different part numbers.

Can't recall...you have T-tops, right? Doesn't matter on these. Shouldn't anyway. Trim the tops off to fit if you do I guess. :)

I'm sure someone can get some of these for you in better shape than your fried ones.

Found you some decent priced used A-pillars on Ebay…….$45 for the pair shipped. Probably look way better than yours, but they're burgundy.

Dixie Restorations has B-pillar repops they claim fit 78-88. Although I don't know if they actually would work. $150

Anyone with both styles confirm this??? The parts book shows 2 different part numbers for the B-pillars between 81-88 A/G-body and 78-80 A-body 47 styles.

I’ve been down this road before. Both my G’s are 1980 Cuttli, the “A” pillars are a direct swap across all the 78-88 Coupe body styles.

The “B” pillars are as well, with the exception that for some reason the ‘78-‘80 “B” pillar trims have an additional screw hole location in them down near the sill plates. For whatever reason the ‘81 and up models don’t have this, otherwise they’re exactly the same. That will explain the different part numbers between the two. If this small detail doesn’t bother the OP then he could use the later style without issue.

THANK YOU for that informative viewpoint. Just the knowledge points we need.

My pleasure.
The threads with questions I know anything about are usually answered long before I can respond due to my having a day job and working stiff status, but every now and then I can sneak in a bit of knowledge during an unsanctioned “smoke break”.

Those extra hole is maybe why the description says that Malibu owners may have to drill an extra hole or something to that effect.
