I have seen several options for tanks but here of a few issues with filler necks.

Should I get a turbo Regal, FI Monte Carlo or just buy the Tanks Inc. ?

The Tanks Inc has a section of hose on the filler so it’s probably most likely to fit but cost more

The other option would be to stick with my stock tank and just buy one of the Tanks Inc pumps with the built in baffle.

Doing a 5.3/4l85 soon, here’s a pic of my ‘86 in the paint booth

Looking good man. I bought the spectra tank for a FI monte, GN, etc. which is the GM307A without the filler neck. I then cut a stock filler neck out of a Cutlass and will epoxy it onto the tank at some point.
If you have a stock tank now that would be the more cost effective route.
I'm hoping to drop the 5.3 in my '87 soon, and just ordered the shift kit for the 4L80E earlier today.
What color you painting the Cutlass?

I guess I could cut the neck off my stock tank and use the same tank as you. Just wondered if one of the tanks with a neck would fit.

The color in the pic is the final color. It’s vapor grey, I know it looks like shiny primer but I like it

If you have the cheddar, spring for a heavily baffled tank. I have a stock TBI Monte tank, and it has fuel starvation issues when completely full and below 3/8 of a tank in tight corners.

The Turbo Regals and Monte 4.3FI use different necks.

If you go to buy a new one use a Turbo Regals

I dig the color, it's different...it really does look like primer. You'll have to post some pics of it out in the sun. Is that similar to the color Toyota and other mfg's are using now?

Yes it’s like the new Toyota or Audi colors. I did something similar on my truck and I think it looks really good

This is supposed to be a low budget project but that never happens. My biggest concern is which will fit the best. I have limited access to a lift and want to install the tank while I can.
