Guys, I have had countless G bodys. Just about all of them have had the melted 4 pin connector going to HVAC wiring harness. I personally believe the power wire (big red wire) needs to go to a relay to relieve the overload. What do you guys think? It makes me wonder if the different brand of blower fans (aftermarket) are drawing too much amps causing too much heat in the wire? I'm no wiring expert but know enough to get me in trouble. I have thought about doing this because it is simple as heck. A cool hand made (Grand National like) relay mount to mount on passenger inner fender would be cool. Thoughts?

I think it's a good idea. My plan was to replace the connector with a weatherpack.

I think they're both great ideas.

In reality, that plug is unnecessary; you could just hard wire it out.
I agree. The plug does make for a neater job. I'm a firm believer in using relays. I still want to add some to my headlight harness. That's where good old Ebay come's in.

I have melted mine but that was from resting on the exhaust manifold.
You meat 'roasting' on the exhaust manifold, right Steve?
