My wife has always loved the El Camino. I tried to buy a new car this summer for her to drive and she said no, that she didn't want a car payment. I jokingly showed her a maroon El Camino, two days later it was in our driveway.

I knew it had been sitting for awhile and would need some TLC to get it back to where she could drive it to work on a daily basis. Three weeks ago I thought I was going to replace valve cover gaskets and new thermostat. I did replace them and found that everything else was failing due to age and neglect.

Now for the interior to be worked on. I will be asking for allot help identifying parts and how to restore function as nothing works other than the speedometer now. The fan worked on the way home, but now nothing.

It runs great and fast and sounds even better.

I have a good one (wife) like that. She can’t wait till I get my Elco on the road so she can drive it. She even says it’s hers. BTW welcome to the forum. Where do you call home?

No Joke! You are a good husband. You know what they say; Happy wife, Happy life.
For ordering parts, you might want to check out some of these outfits: Dixie Restoration, Eckler's El Camino, or Original Parts Group (OPGI)
