Hi all,

New here but I have an 86 monte ss stock suspension except for lowering springs in the rear. I have a set of 17x8 and 17x7 torque thrust II wheels on the car now but I saw these new Ridler wheels that have come out and id like to see if they would fit. I know with 18's especially in the rear the backspacing can get tricky, if you can let me know if these would fit the car front and rear without rubbing and possibly what tire sizes you would recommend I would greatly appreciate it!

Specs below:

I have a near identical setup, ridler rims as well. I have so much extra space in the rear that I'm currently looking into 9.5" wides for the rear .

If I'm not mistaken, monte Carlos have even more space to work with than a cutlass

What are your rim sizes and back spacing? i've been getting such mixed answers on the correct back spacing to clear the stock frame in the rear with 18's and anything over a 7-8" wide wheel

Here's a pic, these are ridler 650s, 18x8", 4.5" back spacing and 0mm offset. I'm gonna be trying to fit on a gnx replica wheel tomorrow, from gbodyparts.com. those are 19x9.5 with 4 3/8 off set, I think with a small spacer I'll be golden

im just afraid about 18x9 with 5" backspacking in the rear, i have 17x8 torque thrust II's on my car now with a 4.81" backspacing and theres not a ton of room from the tire to the frame rail in the rear.

FWIW, 5" backspace on a 17x8 with 245/45s rubbed tires on the frame on my wagon

I'm running 18x9.5 with 5.25" backspacing. But.... My frame is notched to the seam. Have about 3/4" of clearance with 275/35's

Nice Rims! It looks identical to the American Racing wheels that I am eyeing on 4wheelonline.

Yes the 4.81 bs works well for front , slight rub on inner fender at full lock
Looks better than 4” bs on front, in my opinion
