Hey fellow gbody lovers! I’m a new member to this forum although I’ve been following silently since I purchased my first gbody when I was 17 “ten years ago “ . Couple years ago when I was stationed in Jacksonville I came across a roller 1982 Monte Carlo cl that I’ve been putting together ..

The doors were completely rusted at the bottom and I recently acquired two rust free doors from an 87 mc. My 82 doors have power windows and my 87 doors are Manual. Now how do I remove each of the regulators from the different doors? I seen a write up on how to remove the motor from the power doors but can seem to locate anything bout regulator removal

Thank you !

GO Navy!

Welcome & nice project. One of the first thing you need is a Fisher service manual. It will be the perfect guide, it shows how to service & replace the window tracks. One tip is do one door at a time & use the other as a reference.

I always take a lot of pictures on my phone when I disassemble something just to have an easy reference on hand for re-assembly.

^Pictures are always a great thing to fall back on, and sometimes I'll even do a quick sweep with video so I can have an even better idea of what things looked like and instantly know the location.
