Thanks much! Seems soooo crazy that dorman and other don’t make these, considering the popularity and long run of these cars.Assuming you have power windows? They're different than non-power windows.
p/n's 20123184 for pass and 20123185 for driver side. Good luck. They've been disco'ed for several years now. A junkyard gem is probably your best bet.
The old regulator has a lot of play in the large gear. Wobbles back and forth. Window bounces up and down when operating. Motor seems fine, just need the regulator itself .thanksWhy? What happened to the old one? If power, do you need to motor, regulator or both?
Oh, and welcome to the site. Please post an introduction of you and your car.
We put a lot of regulators in at work, I am not as impressed with Dorman or the other aftermarket units compared to original. Thinner stampings, and the rollers on the cable types don't seem as robust as the originals in most cases. Thanks much! Seems soooo crazy that dorman and other don’t make these, considering the popularity and long run of these cars.
That is the problem, I can’t find a new one available anywhere! You can buy new, but I believe that a used one would be fine. I much prefer the General's authentic parts over re-pops. As we speak we are in the process of the completing a manual to power conversion with used stuff. The regulators were in perfect condition from the old car that was 100k+ mile car.
