Wonder how many 83/84 Hurst/olds are really left????

I see there's a guy parting his out on here, so theres one less! I mean out of 3001 in 83 and 3500 in 84 i'd be suprised if half of those were left!!!! Even so i really dont think theres any sure way to track each one down. Just wonderin what other people's thoughts and opinions are on this topic.

I would say 700 or less with both years combined. I too have seen alot more parts for sale in the past 8 years. When these cars first came out and i was around back then some were stolen and driven in snow and most not all were beat to sh*t or in the bone yard . If the owners didn't take car of these cars in the past 20+ years here comes the rust and lots of it to the point that its not worth it and starts to part it out. I do belong to the Hurst-Olds club and counted a total of 216 cars that members own and thats 83 and 84 combined. I 'm very lucky to have a rust free low milage car that still has the orig tires and these cars are harder to come by.

I agree i def feel VERY lucky!! how many miles do you have?? i'm just shy of 28,000. Hey by chance are your driver door stickers still readable??? I can only read about half of mine and i have new stickers but there's no info on them.

yea the only reason y im partin mine out is cause $ got tight in the past month and ive come to the conclusion that 5grand is too much money to fix it up....i mean i still got a gbody but it isnt worth that much...i would convert my 84 into a euro style front 🙂 but i still need paint and front end work....

It just turned 44000 this year. The stickers are readable but starting to fade. I will take some pic and pm you. Where did you get the new stickers? Chriscutlass I have no problem if need $. I like to see the parts go to H O owners that need it.

A little off topic, but i feel lucky to set of original lightning rods. They were in ruff shape and i had angelo rebuild them for me. I got them off flea bay with the counsol, brackets, cable, plate, and mount. That ran me 850, and then another 325 to rebuil them!!!!! I spoke with angelo a few times through out the repair and he mentioned it was getting harder to find a decent pair of lightning rods available.

Allright cool thanks!!!! i got them from www.drdecal.com , Real nice stuff he also has the red "do not move these levers" tag found on our shifters and pretty much all the other info tags u could need, nice quality stuff too!!

I've been looking for cutlass parts all over . every classifieds I can think of and every solid Hurst none hot rodded with under 100000 miles I see seem to be $8000 on average . A clean 86 442 with 68000 just sold in 3 days for $10000 here . but this is the rust belt .

But I'm like you . Need money now not latter .

well if any of you hurst owners need mis. intereior parts tail lamps and stuff like that or ttops, or 307 parts im parting mine but ineed the $ eather by postal check or western union i dont have paypal.... thanks-chris

Chriscutlass I had taken some pic of the stickers but they came out like crap. I started to write all the info on paper and there are some but not all I can barely make out. Just need some time. When done I will pm you.
