I made some decent change helping people move with mine...
But once I got a full size truck, I didn't even tell anybody I had it for the first six months or so...

I'm suprised I never did that with either of the El Camino's I had in the past. It did cross my mind though... Just make sure your back window doesn't leak... :p

Ever see the episode of The Simpson's where Otto was driving around in the 'Pool Mobile'?

well today is pay day and i got about 4 hours of sleep, picked up my check, cashed it and then went to the machine shop to pick up my heads and intake. well the guy whos working on the heads says that one is cracked and not abel to be repaired but the "good one" needs new valves and the tube that holds the valves or something. he said the valves looked hammered and that was caused by the pushrods being broken. well the good news is that i got my intake manifold back and it looks friggin great. heres some pics:

well, if your looking for vortecs I looked on craigslist everyday and went to junkyards for about a month and found some 062s with the self aligning rockers and centerbolt covers for 150 bucks, and they werent cracked, or if you dont want to go that route, maybe some 305 416 heads, nice 58cc chamber size for your small 307 to help compression, and they are some decent heads also, they'd probably be perfect and you can keep your new shiny intake with it also.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
882's are crack prone!!! well so are many other 70's smog casting but these are the worst. The nick name given to them is ''THE BEST OF THE WORST HEAD" Also unless your changing the pistons your compression will be very low! They have 76cc chambers, though I dont know the cc size of your last heads so I could be wrong (btw can you give me the casting numbers of your last heads) The only thing going for them is the valve sizes. If I were you I'd use a ho305 head. 416s are very overlooked! You will get more power from these heads than you would the 882 heads. Theres many good head choices out there, but just stay away from the 882s even if its just a daily. Theres a reason they're all over the internet for only 50 bucks
