I agree with that article and as far a becoming an asset it is a poor investment that takes money for upkeep, insurance and a bunch of other expenses. Plus if you take the money you used to purchase the car and invested it you'd be ahead of someone who bought a car as an investment. Cars are meant to be driven and enjoyed, not just to be looked at

It was indeed a well written piece. As a G daily driver, it gets some looks on the road, but most are gabbing away or checking FB/Twitter/email on their phones to notice, dont't care, or don't know enough to realize that they just got passed by a 1985 4dr st 85mph on cruise control.
I DO NOT agree with hoarding antique cars as investments. I guess tripling your initial on a GNX seems like a good idea, but with inflation, are you really tripling? It also takes the means to store said investment without deterioration.

FACT: No matter what you do, how you do it, every G-body ever made will end up with a crunchy headliner that at the very best, will be bubbling on you and need replacing. I think they used degradable foam in the headliners from the factory.

You cannot keep any G-body factory perfect. Won't happen. Heck, they were a lot of errors on them when new.
