You tell your girlfriend about a car you like that is sitting in the back of someone's yard, and she hands you a pile of cash and tells you to buy it as an early Christmas present.

May I present: A 1985 Pontiac Bonneville

It has 101,000 miles and was garaged for most of it's life. The interior is perfect except for some wear spots on the driver's seat cushion. The exterior is rust free and with the exception of a dent in the rear passenger door, dent free as well.

The engine is a V6 of some kind that the previous owner could not get to run properly.

I don't think I did bad for the tidy sum of $300

I would have told her you needed $800 to buy the car.......:D
Had I known she was in the mood to hand out money, I would have told her about the 1969 Biscayne Wagon with a 396 and a 4-speed for sale in the next town over.

I just got her trailered home and all signs point to being a pretty clean body. There are a few places of bubble rust on the drivers door and trunk lid, but otherwise good. The seat fabric is white?, with a light green/gray carpet and plastics.

The motor area is kind of a hot mess, but the E4ME carb and computer are still installed. I still have to inventory what is all missing, but pretty much nothing on the front of the block is installed but the water pump. I have a 350 that needs rebuilt that could go in, but a series 2 3800 would be nice also.

Side note:

That car had the single slimiest steering wheel that I have ever had the misfortune of touching. IMG_20171005_115311.jpg
