    '86 regal needs some help

You need a G-Force crossmember. I bought mine from Summit. Also the bell housing, clutch fork, linkage, and pedals are all G-body specific. Someone else on here can probably post the part numbers. I'm not sure about your trans. I used a Saginaw 4- speed in my Grand Prix.

Clips for front headliner trim breaking on install

Do you have the right clips? The front and rear are different. The rear looks like an arrow head. This is the proper clip for the front that I bought from Mike's Monte's for my Grand Prix.

The Generic Car Show & Cruise Thread (2024 Edition)

I hope 2024 is better than last year. 2023 was a big change for car shows at least in my area. (I'm between phila. & Trenton). I've been doing car shows for over 20 years with my Buick GS. I stopped taking my Grand Prix because that drew very little interest. Last year all the shows went down...

    🎤🎤1981 cutlass Headliner Clips

That arrow head clip is for the rear and you need 3 of them. You have it backwards. Those 2 short fingers on top of the clip hold the headliner board. Put your clips in your trim, make sure they are spaced correctly with the holes. This will be easier with a helper. Position your trim piece with...

What did you buy for your G body today? [2023]

Grand Prix needed some brake work. I bought a flaring tool kit, brake line kit, and master cylinder. Had to drive to an auto zone about 25 miles away for the master cylinder (no one had it locally).

Buick 350 Swap / AC Box clearance

I put a Pontiac 400 in my 82 Grand Prix with ac and didn't cut out anything.

    GRAND PRIX Headliner

Now I see why auto upholstery shops want so much money to do this.

    GRAND PRIX Headliner

That rear piece takes 3 clips, they are different than the front. They look like an arrowhead. As for the sunvisors, my wife was in the upholstery business for years and has the right sewing machine and equipment to get the job done. I was not concerned with an exact color match. I'll post a...

    GRAND PRIX Headliner

I finally finished the installation today. Everything went well but it was very difficult to install the trim above the back window and the windshield. I got new clips from Mike's Monte's. Sure is hard to get everything lined up and clipped to the headliner and then pushed into place. I had a...

    GRAND PRIX Headliner

Finally had good weather this weekend so I worked on the headliner. I bought 2 1/2 yards of fabric from a upholstery supply shop, and 2 cans of 3M headliner adhesive. Turns out I only needed 1 but my motto is "better looking at it than looking for it". 2 1/2 yards left me plenty of extra for...

    GRAND PRIX Headliner

Today I painted the interior trim I pulled to get the headliner out. Trim was very sun faded and chalky. Steel wool worked good on the chalky area's then I scrubbed with hot water and dish soap, wiped down with acetone, then with alcohol, and painted with SEM. I am very pleased with the results...

    GRAND PRIX Headliner

Today I pulled the masking tape off the corner repair. The epoxy really bonded well and seems to be really ridgid. I put the silver tape on the back and I think it's good to go. I have more cleaning to do on the board before I move to the next step.
