With the money spent buying the new camaro(at the time) and cost of the conversion(transam body kit).... you'd probably a lot spend less resto modding an original transam that the owner will no doubtly get more respect for from the general public.
I plan on giving it a shot someday anyway with either my current ZZ4 crate engine or after a blueprint 383 stroker is shoe horned in, i prefer multiport fuel injection over a throttlebody type fuel injection, of which i like call... a glorified carburetor.

Things have and will go wonky when an engine or its related components heat up.
You mentioned it runs like a champ when cold, at leats its not a starting issue, but i would also suggest having a look at your distributor's ignition...
Figure since OEM stuff is getting harder to find... ever think about going with a reputable aftermarket place that offer polyeurothane/graphite instead of the plain rubber that should be more of a tailored fit than guessing with the original stuff?
If someone spends $450k and is 90% done... might as well finish it.
With 40 bids and $81k max bids, and of course the listing has ended along with reserve not met.... might as well sell it someone with much deeper pockets on the outside because ebay users will want it for cheap.
I can totally see prince harry and wife rolling around in that here in the states because that certainly wouldnt fly with the rest of the royal family in the UK.
