Working the past few nights on the 55 Chevy. MSD ignition module with rev limiter, added a cooling fan relay and temp sender, along with a manual bypass switch, N2O relay, wiring, etc,, headlight high/low beam relays (all are weatherpack with an addition fuse block on a custom mounting plate)...

Damn, looks good. I literally just sanded and polished my daughter's GMC Acadia last week. Though I went to 5000 grit trizact, and then clearcoated them. This looks quicker and easier, lol.

I still don't get how dudes spend on that dough on translators, thumbwheels, burnt chips etc. I used to burn chips and datalog with like winALDL, better than nothing I guess.

That's what I am figuring! I used to (12 yeas ago) have access to some nice machine tools on base till we changed missions, so they all went away. I made alot of stuff for my projects after hours, and definitely miss that ability. I have to relearn myself on how to use it, shape the HSS...

Another addition to the shop! Something I've always wanted, but never had the room for, a lathe. This is a 1946 Southbend 9A, with a quick change gear box and a power crossfeed. Cane with a 3 and 4 jaw chuck, steady rest and anther rest, some collets and tooling, and quick change tool block...

I always keep my old death wheels for that same reason. Looking good!
